Free WhatsApp link and QR code generator
Make a link that opens a WhatsApp chat with your business, with the first message already typed, and a QR code to print. No sign-up. Your number stays in your browser.
With country code. A 10-digit Indian mobile works too.
The customer can edit it before sending. Keep it short so the QR stays easy to scan.
Your link and QR code appear here as you type.
Where to use it
- Instagram and Facebook bio: paste the link so followers can ask a price in one tap.
- Google Business Profile and your website: add it as the chat or contact link.
- Shop counter, packaging, visiting cards and flyers: print the QR code. Use the SVG file for print so it stays sharp at any size.
- Email signature and catalogue PDFs: a "Chat on WhatsApp" link next to your phone number.
Put the product or offer in the starter message ("Hi! I'd like to know the price of the blue kurta") and you know what each chat is about before you open it. Use a different message per poster or post to see which one brings chats.
Questions
- What is a wa.me link?
- WhatsApp's official click-to-chat address.
https://wa.me/919876543210opens a chat with that number on the customer's phone or WhatsApp Web, without them saving your number first. Adding?text=…fills in the first message for them. - Does it work with the WhatsApp Business app and the WhatsApp Business API?
- Yes. The link works for any number on WhatsApp: a personal account, the WhatsApp Business app, or a number on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (the API).
- Is it free?
- The generator is free and needs no account. wa.me links themselves are free: WhatsApp does not charge to open a chat. If your number is on the WhatsApp Business Platform, your replies follow Meta's normal message pricing.
- Why does it matter that the customer messages first?
- On the WhatsApp Business Platform, a customer's message opens a 24-hour customer service window. Inside it you can reply in free-form text, without an approved template. A click-to-chat link gets the customer to start that conversation.
- How do I write the number?
- With the country code and nothing else: +91 98765 43210 becomes 919876543210 in the link. If you type a 10-digit Indian mobile, the generator adds +91 and shows you the number it used.
- Do you store my number?
- No. The link and QR code are made in your browser. The number and message are not sent to AdVersAI or saved anywhere.
